Simon Edgar, Managing Director

An experienced Director with an extensive knowledge of distribution, vending and the watercooler industry. Simon has an entrepreneurial flair and passion for success.

Simon’s career commenced in the haulage industry providing him with a sound understanding of logistics, distribution and the legalities associated with commercial vehicles. His drive to succeed then took him to the drinks industry with Coca Cola, before he seized the opportunity of success in the watercooler industry in 1999.

Since then, Simon has been a driving force for the company, with a vision for business opportunities and ensuring that growth is achieved. Over the years, Simon’s negotiation skills have seen the completion of several acquisitions as part of the growth plan for the business as well as the concept of ‘Edgars Fruit’ which has now become a pivotal part of the business.

Simon enjoys a round of golf, the sunshine, and family time

Andrew Vickers, Financial Director

Andrew’s career in Finance started in practice before moving into commercial sectors as diverse as the Motor Industry, Property Development, Fine Art Publishing and now Health and Wellbeing.

Andrew joined Water Wellbeing in January 1999 and was promoted to FD in 2006. His overall responsibility is for the company’s Finance, Management Information, IT & the operational elements within the business.

Andrew has been part of the evolution of an engineering company with a water cooler division into a company that has become one of the largest independent water cooler companies in the industry and whose vision is to become the Health and Wellbeing provider of choice to the private and public sector.

Andrew loves all sport and enjoys playing golf and table tennis!

Rose Pond, Business Development Manager

An experienced B2B Manager, with a 2:1 degree in Business & Financial Economics. Rose started her career in Customer Service within the insurance industry, followed by 8 years with the Caudwell Group. During this time, she progressed to Customer Service Manager before moving on as part of a team developing new companies within the UK and Europe – enjoying time in Madrid, Dublin & Oslo. Upon returning to the UK, Rose provided category Management support for the major supermarkets, working with their buyers in their head offices throughout the south of England.

Rose joined Edgars in 2005 as General Manager, providing support to Simon Edgar in developing the management structure of the company during its growth. During this time, Rose has experienced all operational parts of the business including Distribution, Admin, Sales & Customer Service, and now works as a facilitator to improve procedures and systems, whilst having overall management responsibility for Sales and Customer Service at the Shoreham depot.

Rose spends most weekends at the side of a football pitch cheering on her 3 sons, but also helps out at the local Beaver Scout group and enjoys country walks & visiting National Trust Properties.

Josh Burgess, Group Distribution Manager

Josh is an experienced Distribution Manager with a wealth of knowledge of distribution, stock control, man-management and transport legislation. Josh’s knowledge of distribution commenced in the drinks wholesale market working for Tavern Wholesale.

After starting at Edgars in 2001 Josh has demonstrated strong management skills, coupled with a great deal of business acumen. He has a strong work ethic which has been passed onto his team.

Josh successfully led the launch of Edgar’s Fruit alongside Edgar’s Water and overseas all 7 distribution depots.  He has extensive health & safety knowledge and fully adheres to the legal requirements of maintaining a commercial fleet which includes successfully maintaining FORS Bronze for all our depots and FORS Silver for our Greenford Site.

Josh enjoys tennis, golf, cycling  and is an advanced diver

Zoe Tree, Group Accounts and Administration Manager

Zoe joined the company in April 1999 and was soon promoted to Administration Manager in 2000.

Zoe has over 20 years experience in accounts, administration & payroll – her main strengths are leadership and communication skills.  Zoe is also responsible for developing and managing the company’s accounting software system that has a large amount of bespoke programming. Zoe has helped to develop, test and install this system over the years and also provides training in this area across the business.

In addition, Zoe helps project manage the company’s acquisitions which often involves helping with due diligence, managing and co-ordinating merging the business and ensuring everything goes through as smoothly as possible.

In her spare time, Zoe enjoys spending time with her family and friends, walking her dog & is captain of the netball team she plays for.
