How long does it take for my Water Cooler to be delivered?
At Edgar's water, customers are our priority so we will do everything that we can to ensure we meet all your water cooler requirements. We aim to schedule both the water cooler installation and its delivery at a time that suits you. Typically, we deliver bottled water coolers within 48 hours and mains fed water coolers in 3-4 days.
How often will the bottled water for my water dispenser be delivered?
After finalising your contract, Edgar's Water will schedule your first delivery of bottled water straight onto our fortnightly delivery schedule. The delivery will then take place on the same day of every second week. This way, it is easy to work out how much water is needed to keep your office or building hydrated and it allows for change if your requirements do. More frequent bottled water deliveries can be made if you are a large water user – please speak to one of our water cooler sales advisors.
What happens if we run out of water or in cup hot beverages?
Should you run out of bottled water or water boiler in cup hot beverages, Edgar's Water provide a free next working day emergency service to cater for your needs. However, we understand the importance of keeping your staff hydrated so through extensive planning and organisation, we do our best to help you avoid such situations.
Do I have to repeatedly order my bottled water?
No, your bottled water will automatically be placed onto our fortnightly delivery schedule. The delivery will take place on the same day every second week, regardless of whether you require more water or not. If you don't require any more bottled water, it's no problem, we will save it until you do.
What's the minimum amount of water that our office needs to order?
There isn't a minimum amount. Nevertheless, we'll do our utmost to ensure that your office has enough bottled water for your water cooler to last two weeks, keeping all staff hydrated and work productivity levels to a maximum.
Does my bottle fed / mains fed water cooler need to be serviced and if so, what should I do?
Yes, under health and safety regulations and the BWCA guidelines, all Bottle fed water coolers need to be serviced every 3 months, while mains fed water coolers must be serviced every 6 months and the filter changed. However, don't worry, you don't need to call or book a service. Our system will automatically inform us when it's time for your water cooler to be serviced. One of our Water Cooler engineers will then visit your office and service your water cooler. This should take no longer than 20 minutes of your time and will not cause any disruption to your office.
What should we do with our empty bottles?
It's simple, all empty bottles are collected when we deliver your new bottled water. Saving you hassle, this system means that empty water bottles aren't left lying around the office. Moreover, being environmentally conscious, if bottles are rejected for re-use in our strict quality controlled cleaning process, they're broken down into tiny pieces and recycled. Edgar's Water is dedicated to providing a green, ethical and environmentally friendly water cooler and water boiler service.
Beside water, what other products do Edgar's water offer?
We offer the complete office solution for refreshment and nutrition. Comprising of three companies, Edgar's Water, Edgar's Fruit and Edgar's Coffee, we are able to meet all your team's hydration needs as well as providing a service delivering fruit fresh straight from the market to your office. Furthermore, Edgar's Coffee supply office coffee machines which are designed specifically to meet the needs and demands of today’s workplace. Coffee, Tea, Chocolate and other speciality drinks are on offer with additional accessories such as coin pay mechanisms, merchandisers and base units are available, providing a solution that suits your environment and budget.
Does Edgar's Water work with any charities?
Yes, most certainly. We support many charities: Help for Heroes, The British Heart Foundation and Marie Curie Cancer Care to name a few. We have raised over £100,000 for the children's charity Barnardos, who are dedicated to helping vulnerable children and young people. Edgar's Water is also a proud supporter of the British Heart Foundation; playing a significant role in the London to Brighton Bike Ride for many years, handing out over 24,000 bottles of water at the finishing line. We also ensure that some of our charity work supports our local communities including the local dogs home, childrens wards and hospices.
Why should I choose a water cooler for my workplace?
Having water available to staff throughout the day that not only tastes good but can be served chilled or at an ambient temperature encourages staff to keep hydrated. The benefits to staff who are adequately hydrated is well documented and new staff with a healthy lifestyle will be drawn to a workplace providing hydration.
What water cooler should I choose?
Plumbed-in or bottled, that is the question! Bottled is pure filtered water without chlorine, fluoride or anything else added. Plumbed-in is filtered mains water and after filtration and chilled the taste of the water is indistinguishable from bottled for most people. There is also a cooler that provides hot as well as chilled, either filtered or bottled. No space for a cooler? No problem. There is the undersink chiller. This does what it says on the box, it chills water under the sink and water is dispensed from a swan neck tap on the edge of the sink. We understand that with so many water dispenser options, it can be hard to choose - contact our team today for more information!
Why should I choose a water boiler for my workplace?
Edgar’s Marco boilers provide boiling filtered water at the touch of a button and offer an endless supply of crystal clear, filtered boiling drinking water, giving tea and coffee a much better taste. Mains water is transformed as it passes through the filtration system housed within the boiler, which also reduces permanent hardness in the water and so reduces the build up of scale. The filter is not inside the boiler, it is external, quite large and needs its own space for installation. Our filters also remove chlorine, therefore giving the water a fresh taste. The new Eco range of boiler is energy efficient and comes with an economy mode which is a great way of saving energy, money and reducing your carbon footprint. Mains fed boilers are quick and easy to install and look great in any kitchen or staff area. And of course, a boiler eliminates queues and waiting time for the kettle for to boil!
What are the differences between the products you offer?
A bottled cooler can suit any business or home and we offer a large range of watercoolers to suit any environment – all you need is a power point. A mains fed cooler does not suit every business or taste – these coolers require mains fed water so will exclude any business which runs off a header tank.
What are the benefits of a Zip Hydrotap?
The Zip Tap is an award winning unique product that instantly delivers both filtered boiling and chilled drinking water and now boiling, chilled and carbonated drinking water from a single tap. Independent tests have proven it is 40% more energy efficient than a kettle. With its superb functionality, unbeatable safety features and its suitability for DDA compliant installations, the Zip HydroTap is the perfect solution for almost any application in the work environment. A Zip Tap is fitted inside a kitchen unit or underneath a worktop and so doesn’t take up the space of a boiler and a water cooler.
What are the benefits of having a water fountain at my workplace?
The Blizzard is a free standing, mains pressure water dispenser designed for rugged conditions. It provides the most modern designs and materials available, and is engineered to the highest level of quality and dependability. Ideal for use in schools, gyms and construction sites! Most fountains are installed in schools or colleges either inside or outside in a playground. Internal ones can be chilled. One model we do has an anti microbe bubbler from which you drink. Some can have a bottle filler attached. They provide a continuous stream of water and are good in situations where a large number of people require a drink all at once. (Well, not all at once obviously. They’d need to form a queue!)
What consumables do I need?
Most businesses enjoy the one stop shop benefit of having cups for their water cooler. We can supply these with our regular water deliveries and these come in boxes of 1000, a dispenser can be fitted to the side of the water cooler for ease of use and tidiness! Alternatively, we can supply cones which ensure that they are not left on desks etc, but are immediately put in the bin – these come in boxes of 5000.
How often would I need to purchase the consumables?
The frequency of purchase is unique to every business but our waterman will check with you as he delivers your water, to ensure that you do not run out. In the event that you do run out, or have a main fed cooler with no regular deliveries, simply call our Customer Service team on 0844 579 3999 and we will arrange for them to be delivered within 48 hours.
How would I order consumables for my water cooler?
Your delivery driver will check to see if you need consumables when he comes to deliver, alternatively, you can call our customer services department on 0844 579 3999 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
What’s the difference between buying and renting a water cooler?
Rental is inexpensive and covers the machine regarding repairs and faults. When you no longer require the machine, it can be collected and is not in your way. Purchasing makes it an asset to the company. With rental, if a machine develops a fault that cannot be repaired it will be replaced free of charge. Also, an old machine can be upgraded to a newer model and bottled exchanged for plumbed-in at any time (if the site is suitable!).
What’s the benefit of buying over renting a water cooler?
Renting the machine makes any issues with the machine our problem and not the end users problem! Rental covers all repairs, maintenance and problems with the machine. If you purchase, you have a great asset, but if it goes wrong, it will be at your expense.
Do you deliver nationwide?
We can deliver nationwide with the assistance of our working partners to areas that our delivery routes do not cover!
Are water coolers difficult to install?
Bottled coolers just need an electric socket. Plumbed-in needs a socket and mains water supply. Zip Taps and fountains also need drainage. All installations are undertaken by incredibly skilled and handsome engineers, with most simple installations free of charge!
Are water coolers easy to maintain? How long will it take me to maintain my water cooler?
Maintenance is taken care of by a crew of sanitisers on a three or six monthly basis. The sanitising process takes only about 15 to 20 minutes.
Are there any guidelines for the general care of products?
Yes, don’t kick them, knock them over or set fire to them, just wipe them over with a damp cloth occasionally! The drip tray can be removed and popped in the dishwasher.
